Customer Success Manager, AdTech

About the Role

Customer Success Managers are the driving force behind PubMatic’s global Publisher partnerships. As a CSM, you’ll work closely with Tier-1 Publishers to maximize their digital advertising revenue, with a strong focus on programmatic opportunities.

By building long-term relationships and leveraging deep expertise in PubMatic’s products and market trends, you’ll provide strategic guidance that delivers results. With quarterly revenue targets, you’ll ensure PubMatic not only meets but exceeds Publisher expectations while safeguarding their brand.

Success in this role comes from proactive account management—regular check-ins, performance analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and participation in key industry events. CSMs are recognized as trusted programmatic advisors, delivering growth and measurable impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the primary contact for premium publishers, providing expert guidance on programmatic and digital advertising strategies.
  • Lead Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews to evaluate performance, optimize programmatic revenue, and align on growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues, enhance platform performance, and identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities across programmatic and other digital advertising channels.
  • Analyse programmatic and ad performance data to provide actionable insights that maximize yield and revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, ensuring publishers leverage PubMatic’s full suite of solutions.
  • Identify and drive account growth opportunities by introducing innovative programmatic strategies and expanding into new digital channels.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in programmatic advertising, CTV, mobile, and other emerging digital platforms to provide best-in-class support.

We’d Love for You to Have

  • Ad-Tech Expertise: Proven experience in customer success, account management, or a similar role within the ad-tech industry.
  • Programmatic & Digital Mastery: Deep knowledge of publishers, supply-side platforms (SSPs), and the programmatic landscape, along with a comprehensive understanding of digital advertising channels.
  • Date-driven - exceptional ability to interpret data and deliver strategic recommendations.
  • Effective Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills that build strong, trusting client relationships.
  • Organizational Agility: Capability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Detail-oriented with a knack for identifying and resolving challenges.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both German and English.

Return to Office: PubMatic employees throughout the globe have returned to our offices via a hybrid work schedule (3 days “in office” and 2 days “working remotely”) that is intended to maximize collaboration, innovation, and productivity among teams and across functions.
