Client Service Partner, Programmatic

About the Role

The Client Services Partner, is a key player in driving success for both our clients and publishers. Based in Hamburg or Munich, this role is focused on building and nurturing strong relationships with agencies and brands within the PubMatic platform.

You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure that client needs are met and that every campaign is optimized for maximum impact. By leveraging your deep knowledge of programmatic advertising, you'll provide expert guidance on DSP setup, troubleshoot issues, and offer strategic recommendations that foster growth and help clients exceed their KPIs.

Your expertise will also play a critical role in driving incremental revenue and optimizing opportunities across our publisher network. As a trusted partner, you’ll ensure that all client interactions are seamless and aligned with PubMatic’s broader business objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner closely with internal teams and external clients to drive business success and help clients exceed their KPIs.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and reporting, ensuring smooth campaign execution and seamless experiences.
  • Guide clients through DSP setup with best practices, offering tailored solutions to enhance their advertising efforts.
  • Share optimization strategies that elevate campaign performance, helping clients achieve exceptional results.
  • Actively engage with clients to identify opportunities for upselling and driving incremental revenue growth.
  • Leverage your in-depth knowledge of PubMatic’s technology and media solutions to showcase the platform’s value, ensuring clients achieve their objectives.
  • Become a trusted point of contact for clients, providing timely and proactive responses to all inquiries and requests.
  • Lead DSP internal testing and activations, ensuring clients’ campaigns run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Own the Supply Path Optimization (SPO) proposal process, driving strategy and execution within the Advertiser Solutions team
  • Oversee monthly reporting for finance, tracking SPO success, and managing client-facing tracking reports.
  • Support the Activate Book of Business (BoB) clients with campaign tracking, ensuring clear and actionable insights.

We’d Love for You to Have

  • 3+ years in Programmatic Trading, Account Management, Client Services, Sales, or Business Development within the AdTech industry. Experience with publishers, ad networks, SSPs, ad exchanges, DSPs, or ad agencies is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of the Programmatic ecosystem and familiarity with the broader digital advertising industry.
  • Solid knowledge of programmatic buying and selling, including pricing models, optimization tactics, audience trends, and buying technologies.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and present data to drive business decisions and solve complex problems.
  • Practical experience with DSP or SSP platforms, demonstrating hands-on knowledge of their functionalities and operations.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI is a plus.
  • Strong presentation skills (including PowerPoint) and experience in negotiating and managing client relationships are highly valued.
  • You're fluent in German and English
